Thanks so much for sharing my tofu story — I hope you've gotten your fix, lately. Love the quote about girl's girl/writer's writer and will be taking it to heart. <3

i love composting!!! my trash lasts so long without food in it. athens has a free composting program so i just drop my bags off at their drop sites. i had a pail but i started to keep it in my freezer (at the sake of losing some space) and my counters are less cluttered and it doesn’t smell at all. one time when i was dropping it off, one of the workers said, “thank you, composter.” maybe i just love validation but it felt so sweet. great links as always!!! sent my bf the olive oil (he’s a fiend for it) and i put myself on the waitlist for that salt holder! i purchased salt in piran, slovenia this summer where they make it the old fashioned way (big fields where they dry it out) and it is the flakiest, most delicious salt!! it needs a cuter vessel!

Aww I love that validation as well — composters unite! I'll have to look into the Piranska salt, too!

I love take 5 candy bars! Have you had the ice cream from Jeni’s? It’s so good!

No! I will definitely have to check it out! I used to go to this ice cream shop in SF that made ice creams to order with kitchenaid mixers tricked out with liquid nitrogen and they had this amazing cookie dough and pretzel flavor that I still think about from time to time.

Thanks so much for the shoutout! I LOVE Inkbox! I tried it a few years ago...I'm still too scared to get a tat, but if I wasn't, I feel like Inbox would've been a huge help b/c it came out so well and I really felt like I had a tattoo for a while. Also - I'm fascinated by that bagging competition article!
